Gold fever in Werfenweng – Salzburger Land - Feel the adventure
Werfenweng, an ecologically friendly town in Austria, is the venue for the world championship sled dog race 2009 sponsored by "Royal Canin"
This sensational event takes place from 12th till 15th February 2009. Nearly 200 Musher and 1.000 pure-blooded sled dogs from all over the world challenge this selective trail and take part in the race.
25.000 expected visitors can not only watch the thrilling competition, but also enjoy a great side event with many attractions. The whole family can join the Gold Trail and discover the origins of sled dog sport. On the glorious tracks young and old dive into the fascinating world of early Alaska and seek the secrets of the trappers.
The topic “Gold fever in Werfenweng – feel the adventure” is part of the entire event and will give the visitors the feeling of the former gold digger time.
