Genk LKV Show 2016, Crufts Qualifier during Crufts.
1989 dogs were entered for this Crufts qualifying show and that is a lot as this show is exactly at the very same date as Crufts itself. Many good dogs were in England and many judges missed the show.
All those dogs came from 23 different countries, more than half from Belgium. 20 Dogs were entered from the UK. The judges panel was composed of 22 judges and 11 nationalities. 7 Judges were officiating only one day. Mrs. Cathy Delmar had a good entry on Saturday . She finished the day with 80 dogs including 61 Chihuahuas. For all other judges it was warming up day. Mrs. Ramune Kaslauskaite from Lithuania had the second best score with 95 entries thanks to 35 Bernese Mountaindogs and 47 Labradors. She had the second best result of the weekend.Mr.Sylvie Desserne from France had a good number of Bulldogs, 46. Together with a good average on both day she had 133 dogs all together, the 3rd best score. Mrs.Dubravka Reicher from C roatia was invited to jduge on Sunday only but managed to attract 70 dogs in her ring, all Golden and Flat Coated Retrievers. Mr.Laurent Heinesche had 74 entries on Sunday, he did all the Dachshunds. The best scoring judge of Sunday was also the overall best scoring judge, Mr.Rade Dakic from Serbia. A good number of American Staffordshire Terrier, 40 in total, brought his final score up to 106 for Sunday and 166 in total.
Best In Show Judge was Mrs. Ramune Kazlauskaite. Her 3rd place went to the Irish “RIVERVALLEY’S RED BELOVED BOUNTY” van Nely Van Doorn uit Zaltbommel (The Netherlands). 22 were entered for Mr.Claudio De Giuliani from Italy. This 5 year old Champion was judged later in the Group by the very same judge. Res BIS went to the Labrador “ONE AND ONLY FROM SERVICE PARADISE” van Loes Kuijt – V. D. Kerkhof uit Deventer (The Netherlands). The 47 Labradors were judged by Mrs. Kaslauskaite herself, the group by Mr. Ronny Blomme from Belgium. Best in Show went to the Group 9 winner, the Phalène “MAGIC SUNRISE GREAT GENTLEMAN” van Ilze Fraimane uit Rigas Raj (Latvia). This 7 year old dog was entered in Champion Class for Mr.Vanaken from Belgium. Mrs .Monique Van Brempt sent him to the finals.
