door Lila LeventakiI decided that my first report to the World press association should be about my favourite breed... Shar Pei. I attended the 38th INTERNATIONAL CACIB SHOW at Ancona and my formost thought was to watch the Shar Pei Specialty Judges by Mr. Marto Steinbacher from Austria and with 24 Shar Pei in the ring.
I decided that my first report to the World press association should be about my favourite breedÉ Shar Pei. I attended the 38th International CACIB Show at Ancona and my foremost thought was to watch the Shar Pei Specialty judged by Mr. Marto Steinbacher from Austria and with 24 Shar Pei in the ring.
I was surprised to see that there were only 6 males entered and all the other entries were females! I learned that there were so many females because they are many females in Italy which need a CAC from a Specialty Show to acquire their Italian championship.
All the dogs had quality and I have to say that the Italian Shar Pei club is doing a very good job and it is very well organized.

Speaking to the judge, he advised me that selecting the Best of Breed was a very difficult decision. The best male and the best female were both wonderful dogs but in the end, he gave the BOB to the male, MargemÕs Just the Keebler Elf, and best opposite sex to Epics Azzura (who with this CAC became an Italian champion).
